Johnson: Merciless “war crimes” attacks on civilians in Buka and Irpin

by

London, Thanasis Gavos

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson added on Sunday night to the international outcry and his own condemnation of the attacks on civilians by Russian soldiers in areas northwest of Kiev.

“Russia’s brutal attacks on innocent civilians in Irpin and Bukhara provide further evidence that Putin and his military are committing war crimes in Ukraine,” Johnson wrote on Twitter.

He stressed that “no denial or misinformation from the Kremlin can hide what we all know to be true – Putin is desperate, his invasion fails and Ukraine’s determination has never been stronger.”

The British Prime Minister has vowed to do everything in his power to “starve” Putin’s war machine. “We are strengthening our sanctions and military support, and we are also increasing the humanitarian aid package to help those in need on the ground,” he said.

“The United Kingdom is at the forefront of supporting the International Criminal Court’s investigation into the atrocities committed in Ukraine … we will not rest until justice is done,” the British Prime Minister’s post concluded.
