Macron: New sanctions are needed after the murders in Bouka

by

You need one new round of sanctions at the expense of Russia, said today French President Emanuel Macron and added that there are clear indications how the Russian forces are responsible for the killings in town Mouth of Ukraine.

“There are very clear indications of war crimes. It is more or less proven that the Russian army is responsible (for the killings in Bouka),” Macron told France Inter radio.

“What happened in Bouka requires a new round of sanctions and very clear measures,” he added.

These new sanctions should target coal and oil, suggested Macron, who is expected to run for re-election this month.

Russia on Sunday denied that its forces were responsible for the deaths of civilians in the city of Bukhara, accusing Ukraine of setting up a “show” for the Western media.

The Russian economy is facing the worst crisis since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 after US and its allies imposed sanctions on Russia over its February 24 invasion of Ukraine.
