Donald Trump’s government is calling on universities to sign an agreement to gain an advantage of federal funding, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal, citing a 10 -point memorandum.
In particular, the agreement sets out a set of operating principles and requires universities to limit 15% of international undergraduate registrations.
The extensive 10 -point memorandum, with the name ‘Agreement on Academic Excellence in Higher Education’sets a wide set of terms that, according to the government, aims to upgrade university standards and performance. Universities to sign will receive ‘Multiple positive benefits’including ‘Important federal grants’according to a letter addressed to universities.
