35-year-old Jihad al-Samie, a perpetrator of the terrorist attack on the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in northern Manchester, was released on a guarantee of rape, as the Guardian reveals.
It is not known exactly when the alleged rape happened, but Samie was circulating with a police guarantee while being in control by the city authorities.
Al-Samie’s Syrian descent was killed by a police fire on Thursday.
The perpetrator chose to hit Yom Kipur, on the most sacred Jewish calendar day.
Despite his criminal past, anti -terrorism authorities and MI5 had not recorded him as a potential threat, as sources pointed out, he had convictions of less seriousness, irrespective of terrorism.
At the same time, Manchester police are investigating whether al-Samie is “behind” by a threatening message sent in 2012 to former conservative MP John Howel via email signed by someone with the same name.
“People like you deserve to die,” he wrote.
Kowell had then publicly supported Israel and had received advice on his security by the police, but expressed frustration over a “lack of serious response” to the issue.
It is noted that, as it became known, the father of the perpetrator is Faraj al-Samie, a surgeon who has worked on humanitarian missions and allegedly publicly expressed on Facebook in favor of the October 7th attack on Israel, calling the perpetrators of “men of God” and “men of God”.
Investigations are ongoing to reveal the full profile of the perpetrator and any interconnections with extremist organizations.
At the same time, questions and reflection arises for the police operation on the sidelines of the attack, as it was confirmed that one of the two dead lost his life to police fire.
Police fire is also attributed to the injury of another citizen.
Government Vice President and Justice Minister David Lami was strongly condemned during alertness near the point of the attack, with attendees shouting: “Shame on you”, “go to Palestine, leave us quiet” and “you have blood”.
Kir Starmer opposition leader visited the point of tragedy with his wife, thanking the security forces, but the reaction of the armed police is expected to be put under the microscope in the coming days.
