Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will travel to Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the aftermath of the Buka massacre.
The representative of the President of the European Commission announced that he will travel to Kyiv this week to meet with Zelensky.
He will be accompanied by High Representative of the Union for European and Eurasian Affairs Josef Borrell, and the two European officials will visit Kyiv ahead of a conference in support of Ukraine in Warsaw on Saturday.
The new sanctions against Russia in the energy sector are on the table of Ecofin today. Top European officials confirm that the EU is debating sanctions on coal and oil from Russia, stressing that unanimity is needed and that discussions are continuing.
