The Israeli government spokesman confirmed that a final draft of the first phase of the agreement was signed by all parties in the morning.
As Benrrosyan said, the ceasefire will begin in Gaza within 24 hours after today’s Israeli Council meeting – if ministers. agree to the terms of the first phase, which was approved in Egypt in the morning. It should be noted that it was initially agreed to implement the ceasefire immediately after the approval of the Israeli Council of Ministers.
This is despite the previous reports that the ceasefire was expected to come into force as soon as it was approved by the Israeli government.
In the media update, Bentrosyan presented a timetable:
At 17:00 there will be a meeting of the Council of Ministers, followed an hour later by a government meeting.
“Within 24 hours after the cabinet meeting, the ceasefire will begin in Gaza”, says Bentrosyan.
After that, he says that Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) will be rearranged on a line that will lead the army to control and possession approximately 53% of the Gaza Strip.
Then there will be a 72 -hour window for Hamas to deliver the rest of the hostages to Israel, he adds.
After retreat, the IDFs will have control of a seat belt along the entire Gaza border line, including the Philadelphia corridor-the Egypt-Gaza border area-along with Bate Lost and Bayyhi in the northern border of Han Younes in southern Gaza.
The terrorist group has told mediators that they do not know where some of the bodies of the murdered hostages are located, which may delay their tradition.
The living hostages will be delivered to representatives of the Red Cross by Hamas without a release ceremony. The Red Cross will then take them to the IDF troops waiting for Gaza.
The hostages will then be accompanied by outside Gaza at the Reim military base near the border for an initial physical and mental health control. Some members of hostage families are expected to wait for their loved ones at Reim’s premises.
Israeli defensive forces say they are ready to handle the simultaneous liberation of all 20 living hostages if Hamas chooses to release them all together.
Later, hostages and their families will be taken to hospitals in central Israel for additional care and to meet other members of their families.
Hosts who need immediate medical care will be transferred to Soroka Hospital in Berciva without crossing Reim’s facilities.
The bodies of the murdered hostages are to be received by troops in Gaza, where a small ceremony will take place in their honor, led by a military rabbi. The coffins will be examined “for security reasons”, according to IDF.
The coffins with hostage citizens will then be transferred to the Abu Cambir Forensic Institute for recognition, which can take up to two days. The coffins of the murdered soldiers will be transferred to the Israeli Defense Forces for recognition.
