Security Council – Zelensky: No crime committed by Russians in Bouka – Women raped and killed in front of their children

by

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a gruesome description of the torture inflicted on the people of Bukhara by the Russian army in a speech at a special Security Council meeting. compared Russia to ISIS.

He began his speech by saying: “Yesterday, I returned from Bukha, which was recently liberated by Russian troops, not far from Kyiv. So there is not a single crime that they did not commit. The Russian army deliberately killed anyone who served our country.

They killed, shot and killed women who were outside their homes and just tried to find their own people alive. They killed entire families, adults and children. “And they tried to burn the corpses.”

The Ukrainian president went on to say that he spoke in memory of the dead: “In memory of the civilians who died, who were shot in the back of the head after being tortured. Some were shot in the streets. Others were thrown into the wells. That’s how they died. With torture. “They were killed in their apartments, their houses were blown up by grenades.”

“Citizens were crushed by tanks, while they sat in their cars in the middle of the street just for their pleasure. They cut limbs, they cut necks. “Women were raped and killed in front of their children.”

Zelensky continued: “I know, and you know very well, what the Russian representatives will say in response to the accusations about these crimes. They will accuse everyone just to justify their actions. They will say that there are different versions, that it is impossible to determine which of these versions is true. They will even say that the bodies were taken there and that all the videos are set up.

“But it is 2022. Now we have convincing evidence.”

Guterres: Stop the war now

THE war must stop now, UN Security Council President Antonio Guterres said at a special meeting on the situation in Ukraine and the aftermath of the Russian invasion.

Mr Guterres called on the Security Council to do everything possible to end the hostilities as soon as possible.

During the meeting, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will speak.

“The war in Ukraine is one of the greatest challenges to the international order and the world peace architecture based on the Charter of the United Nations because of its nature, intensity and consequences,” Antonio Guterres said.

We are facing a fully developed invasion on many fronts. One UN member state, Ukraine is being attacked by another, the Russian Federation, a permanent member of the Security Council, in violation of the UN Charter and with various objectives, including the redesign of the internationally recognized borders between the two countries.

“The war led to irrational loss of life, huge damage to cities and the destruction of infrastructure.”

Mr Guterres also spoke in support of the US Alliance, but said that maintaining some independence was not the answer.
