By mid-June, the first day of protests organized by the umbrella organization No Kings, which represents some 300 organizations, had brought together millions of protesters of all ages.

Officials of the Republican Party denounce “mobilization of hatred against America”, while the speaker of the House of Representatives said: “I bet you’ll see Hamas and antifa supporters”. Representative Tom Emmer of Minnesota spoke of a “terrorist wing of the Democratic Party.”

“Don’t let Donald Trump and the Republicans bully and silence you,” the head of the Democratic Party’s senators, Chuck Schumer, responded by calling on Americans to “make their voices heard” with a message to X. A similar call was made by the defeated Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, as well as Hollywood star Robert De Niro.
