With a blunt formulation, an American official reportedly warned, according to a report by Israel’s Channel 12, underlining that Donald Trump appears enraged by the actions of the Israeli prime minister regarding the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

The official, speaking to correspondent Barak Ravid, was quoted as saying: “Netanyahu is walking a fine line with President Trump. If he continues like this, he will… the Gaza deal. And if he c…, Donald Trump will c… him.”

The statement reflects Washington’s displeasure with Israel’s recent political moves, particularly after yesterday’s passage of a bill in the Knesset to annex parts of the West Bank, which reportedly took US officials by surprise.

According to the same report, US Vice President Jay D. Vance, who was in Israel that day, expressed his dismay at the decision, saying that Israel was acting “out of control”. Netanyahu informed Vance that the vote was “preliminary” and “will not be followed up,” according to the Kan public network.

Vance typically responded that “that can’t happen while I’m here.”

US officials had already warned the Israeli prime minister that passing the bill could provoke a backlash and destabilize negotiations with Hamas to reach a truce.
