Ukraine launched drone attacks against Moscow for the third night in a row, causing problems for the Russian capital’s airports.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defenses shot down 57 Ukrainian drones over three hours on Tuesday night, including four on the outskirts of Moscow and eight in neighboring regions.

The Ukrainian armed forces have been launching long-range drone strikes against Moscow and other Russian regions for months, targeting military and industrial facilities.

The Russian Civil Aviation Service (Rosaviatsiya) informed that the Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports were temporarily suspended for security reasons.

The mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said in a post on the Telegram platform that rescuers rushed to the site where the wreckage of a Ukrainian drone headed for Moscow fell. So far there are no reports of casualties or major damage.

Russian authorities do not disclose the exact impact of Ukrainian strikes on the country, unless there are casualties or civilian targets have been hit.

In the previous two evenings, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 35 Ukrainian drones heading towards Moscow had been shot down, without reporting any material damage.
