And Spotify is leaving Russia – The list of “blockages” is growing

Another large company is withdrawing from the Russian market after its invasion of Ukraine.

Spotify announced that from April 11 its services in Russia will cease to operate.

The cordon is getting tighter and tighter for Russia, both with departures of big brandsas well as EU and US sanctions targeting its economy.

Other companies withdrawn:

– Apple stopped all sales of its products in Russia.

– THE Google announced that it had blocked mobile applications connected to the Russian networks RT and Sputnik from its Play Store, while earlier it had removed the Russian state media from its news services.

Microsoft has removed mobile RT applications from the Windows App store and banned ads on Russian state-sponsored media.

Laptop maker Dell has announced it is suspending product sales in Ukraine and Russia.

Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson is suspending product deliveries to Russia and assessing the possible impact of sanctions on its operations in the country.

– Nokia has stopped distributing in Russia. The company supplied MTS, Vimpelcom, Megafon and Tele2 in Russia.

– The German sportswear company Adidas has suspended its cooperation with the Russian Football Federation with immediate effect.

– Nike has blocked Russia’s access to the markets of its website and applications, as it can not guarantee deliveries in the country.

– The Swedish electrical appliance company Electrolux has stopped all operations in Russia.

– TikTok blocked video posting from Russia.

– Youtube blocked Russian state-funded channels for fake news.

– The Twitter blocked the content of RT and Sputnik.
