The government will allocate two billion euros to the German L κραnder to cover the financial costs of care, as well as the integration of Ukrainian refugees in Germany, as the chancellor said yesterday Olaf Solts.
“The agreement is a good basis for our country to have a common position in the long run,” Solz said after meeting with the prime ministers of the 16 federal states of Germany.
Germany has officially recorded about 316,000 refugees from Ukraine, according to the country’s federal police. Berlin estimates that more than 60,000 refugees remain in the German capital during this period.
Berlin and the neighboring state of Brandenburg have called for federal support for the housing, care and integration of Ukrainian refugees.
