by

THE British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated that any peace talks with Ukraine are likely to failas he compared the conduct of talks with the Russian president Vladimir Putin negotiating with a crocodile.

“Doing business with Putin is like doing business,” Johnson said.with a crocodile holding your foot in its jaws».

He stressed that it is important for the West to continue to equip Ukraine.

The British Prime Minister made the above statement as he traveled to India, where will encourage his counterpart Narendra Modi to end his neutrality towards the war in Ukraine. However, it downgraded India’s chances of ending its long-standing ties with Russia.

«It is very hard to see how they can the Ukrainians to negotiate now with Putingiven his apparent lack of good faith“Johnson told reporters. «His strategy, which is obvious, is to try to encircle and conquer as much as possible of the territory of Ukraine and may make some sort of trading from a position of power».

Johnson said world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, agreed by telephone this week that will continue to supply weapons to Ukraineincluding artillery, as Russia intensified its attacks on eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine and Russia have not held direct talks since March 29while the atmosphere has been strained between them after Ukraine’s complaints about Russian atrocities in the city of Boukanear Kyiv.

Moscow denies the allegations.
