Elefsina, Saturday, May 7 – Democracy and Culture
The Office of the European Parliament, the Delegation of the European Commission in Greece and ELEFSIS 2023 European Capital of Culture co-organize in Elefsina a series of events focusing on culture and democracy in today’s Europe. Young people from all over Attica are invited to meet young people from the area and participate in discussions with MEPs, artists, journalists and other personalities, to watch movies and animationto browse to painting exhibitions and cultural walks in the city, and enjoy concerts and artistic events by young artists of Eleusis.
Zappeion, Sunday 8 May – Employment and business activity
The Delegation of the European Commission and the Office of the European Parliament in Greece are co-organizing an event at Zappeion on the subject of employment and entrepreneurship. The embassies of the Member States of the European Union and national bodies will provide the young people information on study, employment and volunteering opportunities, inside and outside Europe. The event is aimed at young people, but also at other stakeholders active in relevant fields (organizations and youth workers, policy makers, etc.). In addition to national and European activities, representatives of youth organizations, politicians and policy makers will have the opportunity to discuss and reach a common message to young people.

The European Youth Days on 7 May in Elefsina and 8 May in Zappeion provide, at European and national level, information on opportunities and initiatives of interest to young people who are active citizens, are cultural institutions, study and work in Greece.
2022 as the European Year of Youth is called upon to highlight the importance of European youth for building a better future Greener, more comprehensive and more digital. The European Youth Days aim to offer young people many opportunities to learn, share their vision, meet people and get active across Europe. The Future of Europe concerns us all, but especially the younger generation.
