An investigation has been launched in France following the discovery of mysterious bite marks on nine people who were present at one of the most important music festivals in the country, in Printemps de Bourges, broadcast by the French Agency.
The origin of these signs is unknown, according to the authorities. “We do not know if these are syringe or pin bites, for example,” said Anies Bonzen, head of the Sir’s prefecture office where the festival is being held. “These people just felt stings,” he added.
In addition, “there was no sexual assault,” according to Festival director Boris Ventel, who said the reports came from “men and women of all ages.”
From the people who mentioned the stings a blood sample was takenin order to determine whether their substances had been administered.
“As of today, April 23, at 1700 local time, there have been reports of nine incidents,” Ventel told AFP. This number was confirmed by the prefecture of Ser.
Yesterday, four lawsuits were filedaccording to the Bourges prosecutor, who launched an investigation into “harmful substances”.
Security measures at the festival, which ends tomorrow, have been strengthened.
Similar bites have been reported recently at discos in various cities in France.
