Foreign Minister Alena Berbok is being rewarded for her policy on Ukraine, becoming the most popular minister in the ruling coalition, and growing public dissatisfaction with Chancellor Olaf Soltz.
According to a poll conducted by the INSA Institute on behalf of Bild am Sonntag, one in two Germans say they are satisfied with the work of Analena Berbock. It is followed by the also “green” Minister of Economy Robert Hubeck with 46%. In third place is the Social Democrat Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach, who, however, has the most negative opinions (53%). However, the Germans are dissatisfied with the Minister of Defense Christine Lambrecht, the Minister of Finance Christian Lindner and the Minister of Interior Nancy Fezer.
In the same poll, 57% of respondents called for a commission of inquiry to be set up in the Bundestag to investigate German politicians’ relations with Russia. 60% criticize the policy of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) towards Russia; only 13% support its stance.
As for Chancellor Olaf Soltz, 49% say they are dissatisfied with his work, while 38% say they are satisfied. This is a negative record since the beginning of his term in office. Overall, 55% appear dissatisfied with the government, with 35% expressing the opposite view.
In the intention to vote, the SPD is again in second place with 25%, marginally behind the Christian Union (CDU / CSU), which remains at 26%.
