French society appears more divided than any other moment in its modern history, a fact that is reflected both in the percentages, in view of the parliamentary elections, and in the reactions of the citizens, with demonstrations, protests and reactions to the decisions of the political leadership.
Despite the re-election of Emanuel Macron and his victory over the far-right Marine Le Pen, the French president is not universally accepted, as a large portion of French citizens appear dissatisfied with the “line of austerity and adjustment” followed.
Macron, therefore, noted the anger of a portion of the world for his policies, when on Wednesday, during his visit to a public market, in the Sergi area, northwest of Pariscitizens threw … tomatoes at him, expressing their dissatisfaction with the economic -mainly- policy that follows.
The French president, however, was lucky, as the tomatoes succeeded a photographer who followed him. The president’s security immediately covered him and he fled.
