Her sensitivity for humanitarian issues was once again demonstrated by Angelina Jolie, Special Envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

At the time of the war, the American actress visited the country, and in particular Lviv region and talked to injured children in a hospital in the Donetsk region, as well as children in a local orphanage, as well as war refugees in general. At a hospital, Jolie visited children injured in the April 8 bombing outside the railway station in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, which killed more than 50 civilians, according to the governor.

He also met volunteers providing medical and psychological assistance to displaced Ukrainians. During her visit to the station, volunteers told her that each of the psychologists on duty spoke to almost 15 people a day. Many of those at the station are children between the ages of two and 10, volunteers said.

“She must be in shock“I know how trauma affects children, I just know that one has to show how much they are valued, how important their voice is, I know how healing that is for children,” said Jolie.

“For all of us, this visit was a surprise,” Lviv Governor Maxim Kozicki wrote in the Telegram, posting photos and videos showing the actress playing with children and posing with volunteers.
