USA: A dark mystery of 20 years has been solved by a car that was found submerged in a river

A dark mystery that has plagued US authorities for over 20 years has been solved by a car that was pulled from the bottom of the river in Tennessee, thanks to the help of a Youtuber who has the channel Exploring with Nug and does diving. Youtuber is an amateur researcher and uploads in his video all the explorations he does and the “hidden treasures” he finds.

It was April 3, 2000 when 18-year-old Erin Foster with 17-year-old Jeremy Bechtel they started from his house driving a Pontiac Grand Am. The two teenagers have since disappeared and despite the efforts of the Tennessee authorities, no evidence has been found that could lead to the traces of the two young men.

Nug discovered Pontiac at the bottom and that discovery led to the solution of the mystery that remained in the drawer of the police authorities for 21 years.

Using a sonar and a small boat he was quick to locate the car in the river. He spent the night in a small van and the next morning dived to make sure it was a car and specifically a Pontiac that perfectly matched the description of the one with whom the two young men disappeared 21 years ago.

Authorities were notified and undertook to retrieve the car and the macabre finds found inside. Although the identification of the two young men has not been completed, everyone now believes that 18-year-old Erin Foster and 17-year-old Jeremy Bechtel lost their lives in a car accident.

Even knowing that in 2000 the guardrails that now separate the adjacent road from the Calfkiller River did not existthe conditions under which Pontiac was found at the bottom of the river need no further investigation.

It is worth noting that in the space of two months, at least three more similar cases have been investigated, all at the initiative of individuals who undertake the research of lakes and rivers.
