A former KGB agent who has surrendered to the West estimates, speaking to The Sun, openly compares Russian President Vladimir Putin with Joseph Stalin and estimates that Putin is likely to suffer from Parkinson’s and early-stage dementia.
At the same time, he emphasizes that even members of his inner circle may be “in the dark” about his state of health.
Boris Karpitskov, a former KBG agent who fled Russia, said the Russian president was “crazy” and “obsessed with paranoid ideas”.
Putin’s spokesman insists Putin’s health is “excellent,” but several videos and photos have surfaced suggesting the Russian president may have health issues.
“I am not a doctor myself … but there is a serious concern that Putin is suffering from a number of physical ailments – possibly from sports injuries in his youth,” he added.
“This is accompanied by some issues affecting the elderly – such as early-stage dementia.”
Karpitsov said the Russian president is known in his circle as obsessed with details and is known to remember faces and conversations with frightening accuracy.
“He is so suspicious and so obsessed with his paranoid ideas that he can now be compared to Stalin’s tyrant,” he added.
