USA: They found a McDonald’s bag with french fries from the 1950s – See photo

An unexpected discovery was made by a couple in Illinois while doing homework.

On April 16, Rob and Gracie Jones were renovating their home in Crystal Lake, about 50 miles northwest of Chicago. Suddenly, they found a decades-old McDonald’s bag behind a wall.

“Rob was in the bathroom replacing the old toilet paper accessory,” Gracie told CNN . “As he was removing the accessory, he noticed a wrapped piece of cloth tucked into the wall.”

The couple had no idea they were going to discover a decades-old fast food bag. They took the bag and opened it in their kitchen and to their surprise they saw that it had potatoes inside.

“At this point we are looking and wondering if we would call the police because we have just discovered evidence from a crime scene!” Gracie said.

“We looked at the potatoes and said, ‘This is unreal.’ How good are these potatoes still in this bag and how are they so well preserved? “It was outrageous,” Gracie added.

Gracie said they picked up some of the potatoes and were surprised to see how well they were preserved over time, despite their ugly appearance. He also said that they no longer had the smell that McDonald’s potatoes are famous for.

Looking closely at the bag, they saw that it came from McDonald’s production from 1955 to 1961.

The packaging dates from the mid-1950s to the early 1960s.

They also discovered that one of the original McDonald’s in the area was built near their home in 1959.

The bag even contained the first mascot of the fast-food chain, Speedee.

The CNN contacted McDonald’s about the unusual finding and is awaiting feedback.

At the moment, the couple has stored the ancient meal and is not sure what to do with it.

“We would be happy to sell it or not, we would probably keep it as a nice piece of history,” Gracie said.
