Further videos show the comedian returning to the stage unscathed during the “Netflix is a joke” festival. The comedian continued his performance, joking: “He was a trans man”.

Chappelle faced criticism and protests last year when he was accused of being transphobic.
According to ABC journalist Stephanie Wash, the perpetrator ran off stage after the attack, before being caught by the comedian’s security men.
