A third bus carrying 23 people departed today from the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol, which is under siege by Russian forces, Reuters quoted the Russian RIA envoy to the region as saying.
Earlier, another 25 civilians – including children – were transported by two buses from Azovstal to a reception center in the Russian-controlled town of Bezimene.
Ukrainian officials today accused Russia of violating a ceasefire aimed at removing many civilians trapped in the basements of bombed-out steel facilities.
As it became known earlier, 12 civilians, including children, were evacuated by bus from the Azofstal steel industrylast pocket of the Ukrainian resistance in Mariupol.
The news was broadcast by Reuters, citing the envoy of the Russian agency RIA in the area.
