The inability of the Russians to fully understand Mariupol Despite the ten weeks of siege, due to the strong Ukrainian resistance, notes the British Ministry of Defense.
He emphasizes that in this business the Russians suffered many loss of potential.
In an effort to overcome the Ukrainian resistance, Russia has made significant use of auxiliary military personnel, reports from London. Particular reference is made to the deployment of thousands of Chechen soldiers “concentrated primarily in the Mariupol and Luhansk regions.”
It is noted that these are both individual volunteers and members of the Chechen National Guard, units dedicated to securing the power of Ramadan Kadyrov.
The Chechen leader probably maintains close personal oversight of the operations, while his cousin Adam Delimhanov was probably the commander of the Chechen forces in Mariupol, the ministry said.
“The growth in battlefield such heterogeneous military personnel shows the significant problems of Russian recruitment in Ukraine “and is likely to contribute to a fragmented administration that continues to hamper Russian operations.”
