THE Eric Clapton reschedules two dates on his European tour, which just started after testing positive for covid-19. The legendary singer and guitarist, 77 years old, made the announcement with a statement that was posted both on his website and on his official Facebook account.
Eric Clapton was an ardent skeptic of the Covid-19 vaccine and a critic of the lockdown.
“Eric Clapton is unfortunately suffering from Covid-19 after he tested positive shortly after his second concert at the Royal Albert Hall,” the statement said. “His medical advisers told him that if he continued to travel and give concerts very soon, it could substantially delay his full recovery. “Eric is also concerned because he wants to avoid transmitting the infection to any member of his band and technical staff and to his fans.” is noted.
The concerts in Zurich and Milan will be rescheduled in the next six months.
