Ankara is escalating the challenges on the occasion of its anniversary Genocide of the Pontians.
After the extreme provocative announcement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry and the Mevlüt Tsavousoglunow Hulusi Akar accuses Greece of war crimes.
Specifically, in a statement, the Ministry of Defense speaks of a “crime against humanity” committed by the Greeks and “barbaric massacres” in the region of Atolia. At the same time, he notes that he rejects “the allegations of the Greek authorities about ‘Pontus'” and even speaks about the “immoral attitude” of Greek politicians whom he accuses of “openly lying”.
The announcement of the Turkish Ministry of Defense states in detail: «We completely reject the allegations of the Greek authorities about ‘Pontus’, who reject all kinds of rational and logical truths and persistently continue their efforts to distort historical reality, ignoring it. We condemn their immoral attitude Greek politicians who lie openly both to their own people and to the whole world by making these baseless allegations.
If Greece is looking for a shameful reality of the past, it must face the bloody horrors of its ancestors who brutally tried to invade and occupy Anatolia.
This a crime against humanity committed by the Greeks, who carried out barbaric massacres in Anatolia without discrimination between children, women and the elderly, was included in the Report of the Committee of Inquiry of the Allied Powers and was also recognized and recorded by the Treaty of Lausanne.
