Ticket companies for concerts and events on the internet register new sales jumps.
The Ingresse platform says it has sold more than 1 million tickets from January to mid-May. In the same period last year, there were about 880 thousand. In 2020, when the pandemic arrived in the country, there were 314 thousand.
According to the company, the result reflects the return of parties and Carnival. For this year, the platform also bets on events related to the World Cup and New Year’s Eve parties.
At Sympla, between January and April, more than 8 million tickets were issued. The number exceeds the volume recorded at the same time in 2019, when 7 million tickets were sold.
A survey by Abrape (Brazilian Association of Event Promoters) and Sebrae Nacional points out that 56% of companies in the event sector have already returned to normal programming after Covid restrictions, while 36% have partially resumed.
About 47% of them make virtual ticket sales, moving approximately BRL 600 million in transactions through digital platforms per year.
