Panel SA: Casas Bahia announces turnover 30 times above average at the opening of the megastore

In the first two days of operation, the megastore that Casas Bahia opened on Friday (19), on the marginal Tietê, in São Paulo, earned 30 times more than the network’s average, according to the company.

Casa Bauducco installed within the space also performed better than expected, reaching a position among the five franchises with the highest revenue in the network in the country. And the Studio Soneda salon, which has a similar partnership in the venture, sold items from more than 210 different brands, according to the company.

The expectation of Via, owner of Casas Bahia, is that the megastore will function as a testing laboratory for other physical points of the brand.

The company has said that it wants to see the space transformed into a kind of tourist attraction in the city of São Paulo. To that end, it introduced consumer experiences at the megastore, such as a computer game area, a small cinema and selfie booth, as well as places to test products like bicycles and headphones.
