Gol calculated the number of employees who will be fired because they refuse to take Covid’s vaccine. There will be 37 between November and December. According to the company, more than 99% of its 15 thousand employees have complete immunization.
In a note released last Friday (19), Gol announced the start of layoffs and said that the measure is in line with the company’s commitment to public health and the protection of the population.
Latam will require proof of vaccination from December 31st. Anyone who does not fit the new rules will also be fired.
The company claims that it is carrying out internal campaigns to encourage vaccination and that all employees are aware of the requirement to maintain a relationship with the company in 2022.
Azul does not intend to fire employees without vaccine yet. The company claims that it has been working on awareness and immunization of its crew, and that more than 90% of the staff is immunized.
