Natura announces this week that it increased the participation of vegan products in the portfolio by six percentage points compared to last year, reaching the level of 90%. The goal is to reach 100% in the coming years.
The company says that the advance came after a review process put in place last year throughout the supply chain, from obtaining the raw material.
The last non-vegan component that is still part of the brand’s portfolio in some items such as lipsticks and eyelash mask is beeswax, considered a derivative. According to the company, the work of innovation and research for replacement has advanced, and the input is no longer used in new formulations.
Natura claims that one of the criteria for defining vegan is the elimination of the use of tests on animals, a practice that has ceased to be carried out since 2006.
