Podcast: what changes with the debut of 5G in Brazil

by

5G debuted in Brazil this Wednesday (6th), with the launch of the network in Brasília (DF). The technology should reach the other capitals of the country by the end of September.

The fifth generation of mobile internet promises ultra-speed – which could be used both to download videos in seconds and to enable driverless cars and advances in telemedicine.

But the arrival of a new technology also raises new questions: does 5G work on any cell phone? Do I need to change the chip? Will 4G end? At this Thursday’s Breakfast (7), the reporter from Sheet in Brasília Julio Wiziack answers these and other questions.

The audio program is published on Spotify, partner streaming service of Sheet in the initiative and who specializes in music, podcast and video. You can listen to the episode by clicking above. To access the application, simply register for free.

Café da Manhã is published from Monday to Friday, always at the beginning of the day. The episode is presented by journalists Daniel Castro and Maurício Meireles. The production is by Jessica Maes, Laila Mouallem and Victor Lacombe. Sound editing is by Thomé Granemann.
