Sephora, the global giant of beauty products retail, faced strike in several stores in Paris, France, in the middle of Black Friday, this Friday (26). Employees spent the day in front of the units asking for real salary increases and new hires.
With shouts of “We’re fed up, fed up!”, employees complained about the increase of about 30 euros a month (R$ 190.50), announced by Sephora, and the failure to replace the employees laid off during the pandemic, due to the fall in sales.
The LVMH group, the world’s largest conglomerate of luxury brands and Sephora’s sole shareholder, announced in July a net profit of 5.3 billion euros, up 62% from the first half of 2019, before the crisis.
