São Paulo
The CCEE (Electric Energy Commercialization Chamber) mapped the number of large and medium-sized companies that could already be part of the free energy market in the state of São Paulo but are still outside it.
According to the survey, there are more than 17.5 thousand consumer units, including industries, shopping malls or supermarket chains that reach a load above 500 kW, the minimum demand currently required to operate in the segment. Most are in the commercial consumption range.
It is almost double the approximately 8,700 that are already in the hiring model in the state. In the national survey, there are almost 70 thousand consumer units outside the free market, according to the CCEE.
