Mattos Filho’s diversity program, which in the last three years has been opening exclusive vacancies for black interns, has now been expanded to include lawyers and has hired nine black professionals who have already graduated.
The firm also just hired more self-declared black law interns, totaling 20 program hires this year.
According to the 2021 Diversity Census of the Legal Alliance for Racial Equity in partnership with Corporate Diversity and Ceert (Center for the Study of Labor Relations and Inequalities), 11% of legal professionals in the 12 firms that make up the Alliance are black. .
