After the resolution on veterinary telemedicine published at the end of June, companies in the pet segment began to study the market.
Signed by the Federal Council of Veterinary Medicine, the resolution says that teleconsultations can be made as long as there is a prior face-to-face service. There are some situations in which the requirement is dispensable.
The TioChico app says its platform launched in May, but they couldn’t prescribe medication, make diagnoses or order tests before July.
Conversations with the veterinary team can be done via chat or video.
The cost reduction is seen as attractive for the model.
