Government starts paying boosted aid two months before the election; see calendar and who receives

Two months before the election, the federal government begins to pay, as of August 9, boosted aid to millions of Brazilians. Aid Brazil of R$ 600, Auxílio Gas that can reach R$ 120 and Auxílio Caminhoneiro are the first to be released. Taxi Assistance is scheduled to be paid on the 16th.

Truck drivers and taxi drivers must receive up to R$ 2,000. Planalto’s intention is to release two installments of R$ 1,000 at once, referring to the months of July and August. In the case of taxi drivers, however, the final value may be lower depending on the number of professionals registered in the municipalities.

All benefits will be paid temporarily until December, according to constitutional amendment 123, which determined a state of emergency in the country to circumvent electoral legislation and justify spending. In all, about 22 million citizens are expected to receive the benefits.

The Auxílio Brasil audience should be expanded from the current 18.1 million to more than 20 million, in an attempt to eliminate the existing waiting list at CadÚnico (Cadastro Único), the gateway to the benefit. The total number of people assisted, however, has not yet been released by the Ministry of Citizenship.

Of the approximately 20 million covered by Auxílio Brasil, just over 5 million will also receive the larger Auxílio Gás, which will have an extra installment in August, October and November to pay for a 13-kilogram cylinder of gas. Before, the benefit paid was 50% of the price of the cylinder.

The exact amount, however, is yet to be announced, as it depends on the average price of gas in the last six months, but can reach R$120.

The latest survey available at the ANP (National Agency for Gas, Oil and Biofuels), responsible for surveying prices, points out that, in the country, the cylinder cost, on average, R$ 108.86 in the last six months.

The payment of the two benefits —Auxílio Brasil and Auxílio Gás— is made jointly, following the end of the NIS (Social Identification Number) and according to the Auxílio Brasil calendar, which was changed this August. The gas voucher, however, is only released every two months. The next installments will be in October and December.

How to make the consultation of Auxílio Brasil and Auxílio Gás

As of September, the benefits calendar will return to normal, according to the Ministry of Citizenship. To check whether they will receive it, citizens can access the Auxílio Brasil and Caixa Tem apps or call Caixa on 111, or the Ministry of Citizenship on 121.

Who is entitled to Aid Brazil?

Citizens who are part of families in extreme poverty, with an income of up to R$ 105 per person in the family (per capita), in a situation of poverty, with an income between R$ 105.01 and R$ 210 per person are entitled to Auxílio Brasil. person in the family (per capita), or in the emancipation rule, which is when the beneficiary gets a formal job, but is still entitled to receive the benefit if the income per person in the family is up to R$ 525.

To receive, you must be registered with CadÚnico. The citizen needs to pre-register through the website or app and then confirm the data at the Cras (Social Assistance Reference Center) of the prefectures. The confirmation period is up to 120 days.

Who is entitled to the Gas Allowance?

Families enrolled in CadÚnico with monthly family income per capita (per family member) less than or equal to half a minimum wage (R$ 606 this year) are entitled to the benefit. Families with members in the BPC (Continued Provision Benefit) will also benefit.

Women heads of households have priority to receive the benefit, as well as women victims of violence.

Trucker Aid will be paid to more than 870 thousand

More than 870,000 truck drivers are expected to receive the first installments of the R$1,000 truck driver allowance — totaling R$2,000 in August. The program, called BEm Caminhoneiro (Emergency Truck Driver Benefit) provides for the transfer of six installments until December.

The query to find out if you will receive the values ​​has not yet been opened. However, professionals will be able to check if everything is up to date with their work record on the ANTT (National Land Transport Agency) website, at consultapublica.antt.gov.br.

Neither the agency nor the Ministry of Labor and Welfare informed what to do if there are errors in the professional’s registration.

Who is entitled to the BEM Trucker?

Autonomous cargo carriers who are registered with the RNTR-C (National Registry of Road Cargo Transporters) will be entitled to receive the BEm Caminhoneiro until May 31, 2022.

Drivers must have their CNH (National Driver’s License) and CPF up to date. The professional’s registration must be “active” in the RNTR-C. Every month a new review and update will be carried out, which can make the recipient no longer have access to the benefit and vice versa.

Taxi drivers can receive up to R$ 1,000

According to the Ministry of Labor and Pensions, the value of the BEm Taxist (Emergency Taxist Benefit) installment is set at R$ 1,000, but may be lower, varying according to the number of professionals entitled to receive and the amount made available by the government.

The registration of professionals able to help is being done by the municipalities. Registration started on July 25th and will run until the 31st. Afterwards, there will be a new chance to send data from city halls. New registration will be made every month.

The government is providing a website that explains the benefit and its rules. The consultation to find out if you will receive it, however, has not yet been opened and there is no scheduled date for this to occur.

Who is entitled to the BEm Taxi Driver

Drivers who:

1. Have obtained registration to practice the profession until May 31 of this year, which is issued by the competent body of the municipality in which they work
2. Are taxi drivers holding a concession, permit, license or authorization issued by the municipal or district government to exercise the profession
3. Are taxi drivers with authorization issued by the municipal or district government, even if they are not holders

Taxi drivers who have an irregular CPF will not receive it. This rule includes CPFs that are suspended, cancelled, void or that are linked to someone who has died. Those who earn a pension for death also lose their right, as do professionals who receive a benefit for permanent incapacity for work, which is the old disability pension.

Data will be cross-referenced on all national bases. Those who are taxi drivers and registered as a truck driver in the Autonomous Cargo Transporters system will also not have access to the money.
