Albert Einstein Hospital is going to install a sports medicine and rehabilitation unit in the complex that will be built in the Pacaembu stadium, in São Paulo.
The hospital administration and Allegra Pacaembu, the concessionaire responsible for the renovation of the stadium, signed a 15-year contract for the occupation of three floors of the building’s east wing, which will also house a hotel, restaurants, offices and other activities. The completion of the works is scheduled for 2024.
The Einstein’s rehabilitation center will have a clinical staff formed by physiatrists, physiotherapists and physical education professionals, and will also offer preventive services and well-being promotion, including a sports check-up.
The forecast is that the new unit will serve 3,000 people a year. It will not be open to patients from the Unified Health System. Like other clinics and units created by Einstein in the capital in recent years, it will only serve clients of health plans and private individuals.
The agreement with Allegra also provides for the use of an area of the Pacaembu complex by companies under development at Eretz.bio, an incubator for new business created by Einstein. Companies dedicated to digital health and medical devices will go there.
