The Ministry of Labor and Welfare gave two more days for city halls to register drivers eligible to receive Taxi Assistance. With the extension, the deadline for municipalities to send the information ends at 19 pm this Tuesday (2).
According to the folder, changing the date does not change the payment schedule. Payments are expected to begin on August 16th.
Taxi drivers entitled to the Emergency Taxi Benefit, as the aid was named, will be able to receive up to R$ 2,000 this month, referring to the payment of the first and second installments scheduled for August.
The forecast is that professionals receive up to six installments of up to R$ 1,000 each. However, this value may fluctuate according to the number of taxi drivers entitled to receive.

Portion | Payment forecast |
1st installment | August 16th |
2nd installment | August 30 |
3rd to 6th installments | between september and december |
The registered data will be processed by Dataprev (Technology and Information Company of the Federal Government).
As of August 2, the system will be closed for sending information so that Dataprev can analyze and cross-reference the data received to identify workers entitled to the benefit.
Taxi driver with irregular CPF will not receive
Taxi drivers who have an irregular CPF will not receive it. This rule includes CPFs that are suspended, cancelled, void or that are linked to someone who has died. Those who earn a pension for death also lose their right, as do professionals who receive a benefit for permanent incapacity for work, which is retirement due to disability.
Data will be cross-referenced on all national bases. Anyone who is a taxi driver and is also registered as a truck driver in the Autonomous Cargo Transporters system will also not have access to the money. In this case, the professional must receive the Truck Driver Allowance of up to R$ 1,000, which starts to be paid on August 9.
Payment will be made through digital social savings
According to an ordinance of the Ministry of Labor and Welfare published last Thursday (28), the payment of Taxi Driver Assistance will be made in digital social savings. With this, the receipt of amounts must occur by Caixa Tem. However, this information was not specified in the document.
Caixa Tem is operated by Caixa Econômica Federal. In it, citizens can pay bills, make Pix, generate a code to withdraw money at Caixa, lottery or Caixa Aqui correspondents and buy automatic debit in physical and virtual stores that accept this type of payment.
The submission of taxi drivers’ records by city halls is necessary due to municipal or district competence on the subject.
