The confessed perpetrator of the crime in Ano Malaki Rethymnon was brought to the public prosecutor, with the 60-year-old stating that he was remorseful and completely confused after the fight that preceded the murder.
The prosecutor gave the perpetrator a deadline to apologize next Thursday, with him speaking of tension and a fight between him and his wife who – as he claimed – insulted him as a result of which he lost control and was led to the crime.
Coroner Stamatis Belivanis has undertaken the forensic examination of the 56-year-old victim of her husband, the results of which may help in the investigation.
The local community in Ano Malaki remains confused since the life of the couple and the social testimonies did not predict this tragic development in a large family which until yesterday, the day of the crime, had not given evidence that led to thoughts about what it happened
