INSS publishes payment schedule for 2022

by

The INSS (National Social Security Institute) released, this Wednesday (1st), the annual schedule of payments for 2022 to more than 36 million beneficiaries in the country. With the disclosure, retirees, pensioners and policyholders who receive other INSS benefits can know the exact dates on which the amounts will be deposited in the bank account indicated to receive social security income. Those who receive the BPC (Continued Cash Benefit), paid to seniors over 65 and people with disabilities, also follow the new calendar.

The calendar is divided according to the benefit amount: payment starts first for retirees and pensioners who earn the minimum wage (R$1,100, in 2021). At the beginning of each month, the INSS starts releasing releases for policyholders who have an income above the social security floor.

The insured must verify the benefit number (NB), which is 10 digits long and appears in the following format: 999.999.999-9. The penultimate digit must be considered.

Holidays and Carnival

The first deposit of 2022, referring to the January payment, will be made between January 25th and February 7th for beneficiaries who earn the floor. For those with income above the minimum, this payment will be released between the 1st and 7th of February.

The filing date also varies depending on the final benefit number, without considering the digit that appears after the dash, for those that were recently granted. For policyholders who have had their benefit for some time, the date they usually received is valid, informed the agency.

There are no releases on weekends. According to the INSS, when there is a municipal, state or federal holiday, payment of the benefit must be made on the following business day.

The calendar foresees an interruption in payments during Carnival 2022. Deposits start on February 21st and continue until the 25th, but will only be released again on Thursday, March 3rd.

The period for withdrawing benefits with a card is until the end of the following month (approximately 60 days) when the amount is released into the account. According to the INSS, if the insured does not make the withdrawal within this period, the amount will be returned to the agency.

Query

The insured who uses the Meu INSS application or the meu.inss.gov.br website can also check the dates and amounts of benefits before payment, but for that, a password must be registered. Meu INSS also offers the option to download the complete calendar, just click on “Payment Calendar”, which appears on the home page. Access to this information does not require a password.

The calendar that is available at Meu INSS at the moment, however, is still the one in force, that is, the one from 2021. Those who prefer can download the calendar image directly from the INSS section of the government portal, at the address gov. br/inss, or by clicking here. Information can also be obtained by calling 135, which operates from Monday to Saturday, from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm.
