Caixa releases new batch of Auxílio Brasil; see who is entitled and the 2022 calendar

by

Payment of the new Auxílio Brasil benefit of R$ 600 began on Tuesday (9), but this Wednesday (10) a new group is already entitled to withdraw the installment. According to the schedule of the program that replaced the old Bolsa Família, the benefit will be paid until August 22nd.

The increase of R$ 200 was released temporarily from August to December — the minimum value of the original benefit is R$ 400. According to the Ministry of Citizenship, this month saw the inclusion of 2.2 million new families. As a result, the number of registered families reached 20.2 million.

Who is entitled to the Auxílio Brasil of R$ 600?

The Auxílio Brasil program is aimed at people in situations of economic and social vulnerability.

Families in extreme poverty are entitled to the benefit, with a monthly family income per person (per capita) of up to R$105, and those in poverty, with a monthly family income per person between R$105.01 and BRL 210.

To have access to the benefit, the family must be registered in the CadÚnico (Single Registry of the federal government), a tool that allows the receipt of federal, state and municipal aid. However, not all those registered in the database meet the program’s criteria.

In addition to Auxílio Brasil, among the programs carried out by the federal government that use the CadÚnico database are Vale-gás, BPC (Benefício de Prestação Continuada), the social tariff on the electricity bill, among others.

Registration can be carried out at a unit of Cras (Reference Center for Social Assistance) or at the offices of the social assistance secretariat of city halls. The interviewer himself assesses whether the family meets the program criteria and makes the request for inclusion.

According to Citizenship, enrollment in CadÚnico does not guarantee immediate entry into social programs or the immediate transfer of resources.

You can receive the Brazil Aid:

  • Families in extreme poverty, with a monthly income per person of up to R$105;
  • Families in poverty, with income per person of up to R$ 210;
  • Families that are in emancipation rule.

According to Citizenship, it is necessary for these families to have their CadÚnico updated for at least 24 months. Payments will be made according to the last digit of the NIS (Social Registration Number):

How to apply for Aid Brazil

The first step for the family to apply for membership of Auxílio Brasil is to register with CadÚnico, which works as a database for registering and identifying low-income families.

It records information such as: characteristics of the household, identification of each person, education, work status and income.

Families with a monthly income of up to half a minimum wage (R$ 606, in 2022) can apply. If you are homeless, whether you are alone or with a family, you can also register.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION:

For the person responsible for the family:

  • CPF or voter registration card

For other family members:

  • Any of the documents of each person in the family: birth certificate, marriage certificate, CPF, RG, work card or voter registration card

REGISTRATION UPDATE

It is the responsibility of the head of the family to keep the registration updated, providing information every two years or when any important aspect related to the family changes, such as someone’s birth or death, a member’s departure to another house and a change of address.

REGISTRATION IN THE APP

Since March, families can pre-register through the CadÚnico app. The app also offers options for updating registration data, a georeferenced map with service points closest to citizens and consulting the benefits received by the family.

The pre-registration aims to reduce the wait at the service units. After this first stage, citizens who are not yet part of the Single Registry have 120 days to go to a service center to supplement information such as education, work and remuneration.
