Ex-Manchester United captain and Wales manager faces five years in prison for assaulting ex-partner
The claim that the bruises on the body of his ex-partner, Kate Greville, do not come from her abuse, but are the result of … wild sex they had made Ryan Giggs through his lawyer! The former Manchester United captain and manager of the Wales national team faces five years in prison for attacking his ex.
“What he says is a bunch of lies!” Giggs’ lawyer Chris Dow said.
Dow read to the court messages Giggs and Greville had exchanged, with the latter writing: “A tan is nice, as is a bruise from sex” and that “I want you hard”. Giggs’ side also highlighted that he bought sex toys at the urging of Greville, who wanted “to take initiatives” in bed.
In her November 2020 police statement, Greville said he twice “dragged” her out of a hotel room and threw her naked in the hallway during fights over Giggs’ texting and flirting with other women. Situations out of control, such as in one instance where the former Manchester ace allegedly kicked her in the back and threw a laptop at her head, the hearing heard on Tuesday. She also stated that he headbutted her.
The 48-year-old is also accused of abusing the victim’s sister Emma Greville between August 2017 and November 2020. He denies all charges.
