Panel SA: Truckers say bottleneck to receive aid could harm Bolsonaro support

Truck drivers say they are facing bottlenecks in the bureaucracy to access the aid released by the government and that the difficulty can harm the mood of drivers with Bolsonaro on the eve of the election.

José Roberto Stringasci, from ANTB (drivers’ association), says that the paths for registration are still confusing.

“This will give the president a headache. It will be a shot in the foot if it was made for the category to support [a reeleição]. Probably, those who won’t be able to get the help will be angry “, she said.

The complaint follows the fine-tooth comb carried out by the Ministry of Labor with Dataprev, which reduced the number of truck drivers who would receive the benefit of R$1,000 per month until December from 848,000 to 190,000.

According to the rules, the truck drivers who can receive are those who were in an active situation in the RNTR-C (National Registry of Road Cargo Transporters) until May 31, with the CPF regularized at the Revenue, as long as they do not have some type of retirement or pension. .

ANTT (the agency that regulates land transport), responsible for informing the government who will receive the money, reported that there are 848,000 transporters with the RNTR-C active until the end of May. After filtering the data with Dataprev, however, most of these records were considered suspended or pending due to some type of irregularity.

The 190,000 regularized professionals are already receiving the money.

According to the Ministry of Labor, the government is redoing the analysis as truck drivers regularize their registrations with ANTT or any other agency indicated in the Emprega Brasil Portal and in the Digital Work Card application. According to the agency, the money will be released in the coming weeks for those who resolve the pending issues.
