Second placed in the voting intentions for the Government of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas took advantage of the auction of Congonhas airport, held this Thursday (18), to praise his period as Minister of Infrastructure in the Bolsonaro administration.
The day before, he published a video on social media remembering the nickname that Thorcísio, who received in the 6th round of airport concessions, when he put so much force into the hammer to celebrate the result of the auction that he ended up breaking the object.
“This here [martelo do personagem Thor] became a trademark throughout our period at the Ministry of Infrastructure because of the auctions”, he said in the video.
Shortly after the auction, the former minister released another video, on the airport runway. “Certainly, a lot of investment will make the user’s life easier. It will provide more comfort and more security. We will have a state-of-the-art airport. São Paulo wins. Brazil wins”, he said.
With only one interested party, the Congonhas terminal was bought by the Spanish group Aena.
Specialists believe that the attractiveness of the terminal was reduced due to the block model, considered very complex, with low synergy between the assets, creating difficulties for the gains of scale and scope.
