The INSS (Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social) changed the functioning of the application and the Meu INSS website, with the reorganization of some services already offered.
Registration updates, for example, which were previously carried out in different spaces of the website, were unified in “Update Registration and/or Benefit”, regardless of whether the insured receives a benefit or not.
According to the institute, existing functions were redesigned to facilitate user identification and access. However, the search for services has not yet been updated and the insured may encounter errors when trying to access it.

Update registration and/or benefit: allows you to update registration data that are missing or inconsistent in the Cnis (National Registry of Social Information) and/or the benefit and to update the type and code of the activity performed.
Update attorney and legal representative: to include, exclude or renew attorney and legal representative (guardian, trustee, interim administrator) of the benefit.
Update links and remuneration and payment code: it is used to adjust the bond and remuneration and to change the payment code used in the wrong way in the collection of contributions.
Update Income Tax data: allows ask for rectification of benefit data or amounts in the INSS Income Report for annual IR (Income Tax) declaration, include and exclude dependents for IR deduction in the benefit and update the type of taxation to “foreign” in case of permanent departure from the country.
Request exclusion and reactivation of a judicial consigned loan: can be used to comply with a court order to exclude or reactivate the payroll loan assignment.
Request issuance of payment not received: for cases of issuance of amounts not received by the beneficiary and reactivation of the suspended or terminated benefit.
Request withdrawal, termination and waiver of benefit: used for withdrawal or cancellation of benefit, termination in case of death of the holder or termination of pension for death or reclusion aid.
System goes through adjustments
The INSS reported that the search bar is still being updated and policyholders can click on “New Order” in the list of services and search for the desired option.
When trying to access old services not yet replaced in the search bar, options such as “Update registration data” direct the user to the home page or make the screen go blank, preventing access. In some cases, the warning “Error trying to communicate with claim services” appeared.
