The public’s perception of social networks about the economy has been fluctuating in recent months. Messages in support of the economic scenario, which were limited to 37% in June, at a time of worsening fuel inflation, and reached a peak of 68% in the following month, now hovers around 50%, according to monitoring. from the data and media analysis agency .Map.
Despite the drop in positive evaluations, in August, the level remains above the last eight months.
Last month, mentions of the subject of inflation had about 60% of positive approaches. The topic of the job market received almost 65% approval, according to the survey, carried out based on the qualitative evaluation of publications on Twitter and Facebook.
For the next few weeks, .Map points out hot spots. When the subject is hunger, only 1.5% of the manifestations are positive.
“Even with all the right-wing militancy moving to support the government’s measures, public opinion recognizes that there is hunger, a basic sign of social inequality”, says Marilia Stabile, director general of .Map.
Currently, the economy represents just over 10% of the network debate, according to the monitoring.
