The total measures to support the incomes of citizens and society amount to 13.2 billion euros for 2022, stressed the Minister of Finance, Christos Staikouras, during the specialization of the measures announced by the TIF by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis
The 10.6 billion euros is the cost of subsidizing electricity and natural gas for households and businesses.

1. One-off aid of 250 euros to vulnerable households. Beneficiaries are 1 million pensioners, with a monthly income of up to 800 euros. 35 thousand uninsured senior citizens of OPECA and 172,000 beneficiaries of disability benefits.
An additional 225,000 beneficiaries of the minimum guaranteed income will see a double payment in December
800,000 OPECA child benefit beneficiaries will see an extra 1.5 monthly installments. The total beneficiaries of the measure are 2.3 million citizens and the cost amounts to 496 million euros
2. Increase of 200,000 beneficiaries of the program Recycle – Change Device. The cost amounts to 140,000 euros.
3. 250,000 subsidy farmers for the increased cost of fertilizers. The cost at 60 million euros
4. 50,000 subsidy breeders for increased feed prices. The cost at 89 million euros.
5. Increase of heating allowance covering 1.3 million citizens with an increase in income criteria.
Sta 16,000 euros for the single (from 14,000 euros)
Sta 24,000 euros for the married man (from 20,000 euros) increased by 3,000 euros for each child.
The allowance increases:
From 300 euros to 350 euros. Those beneficiaries consume for the first time this year oil or LPG or other forms of fuel other than natural gas, are entitled double allowance. The cost is €300m from €84m in 2020 and €174m in 2021
6. Cost reduction in heating oil for 1.3 million households of about 25 cents. The cost amounts to 250 million euros.
7. Extension of reduced VAT on transport, coffee, soft drinks, gyms, dance schools, cinema and package tours until June 2023. The cost is €246 million.
