The IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) has opened new vacancies to work in the 2022 Demographic Census. There are 7,795 opportunities for census takers, who must have completed elementary school, and 436 for census agents, municipal or supervisors, with complete secondary education.
Enrollments can be made in person at one of the IBGE enrollment posts, listed in this link, between Wednesday (14) and Friday (16). For registration, it is necessary to fill in and sign the form available at this link, with the candidate’s highest scoring title.

The municipal census agent receives R$ 2,100 monthly. The supervisory census agent earns R$ 1,700. The mandatory working day is 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day.
What is needed to work on the 2022 Census?
In addition to the minimum education, the candidate must be up to date with electoral and military obligations, be at least 18 years old and not be a managing partner or administrator of private companies, including MEI (Individual Microentrepreneur). More information is available in the notice.
Census takers are paid per production, and the recommended working day is at least 25 hours per week. Payment can be simulated on the IBGE website: https://censo2022.ibge.gov.br/trabalhe-no-censo/estimativa-de-remuneracao.html.
The contract will be valid for 30 days and the contractor will be evaluated monthly. The expected duration of work for a census taker is up to three months, and for a census agent it is up to five months.
