Approval for the Jair Bolsonaro government has fallen among people who receive Auxílio Brasil, according to a Datafolha survey released this Thursday (15).
In last week’s survey, carried out on September 8 and 9, 29% of beneficiaries rated the government as excellent/good. In the new survey, carried out from September 13 to 15, the percentage was 25%, a variation above the margin of error, which is three percentage points for the group of beneficiaries.
The percentage of bad/very bad remained at the same 42% as in the previous survey. The regular evaluation went from 27% to 31%.
Among people who do not receive the aid, the assessment that the government is great or good remained at 32%. The percentage of those who consider the management bad or terrible fluctuated from 42% to 44%, within the margin. The regular rating went from 25% to 24%.
According to Datafolha, 23% of respondents receive or live with someone who is a beneficiary of Auxílio Brasil.
Datafolha heard 5,926 voters in 300 cities from Tuesday (13) to Thursday (15).
With just over two weeks to go before the first round, the voting intention of the beneficiaries for the current president went from 29% to 26%. 57% would vote for Lula (PT), against 56% in the previous poll. That is, the difference between the two candidates went from 27 to 31 percentage points.
Among those who do not receive the aid, the percentages ranged from 41% to 42% in the Lula option and from 36% to 35% in Bolsonaro.
The social benefit, readjusted on the eve of the campaign to R$ 600, was one of the main bets of the pro-government for the election.
The research, commissioned by Sheet and TV Globo, was registered with the Superior Electoral Court under the number BR-04099/2022.
The survey also shows that, among those who receive Auxílio Brasil, 17% always trust, 27% sometimes trust and 54% never trust Bolsonaro’s statements. Among the other voters, those who are not beneficiaries, the percentages are 22%, 27% and 50%, respectively. That is, the president has a better performance among the people of this second group.
