Amazon announced on Wednesday (28) the Kindle Scribe, a version of the ebook reader in which users can use a pen to annotate books.
The product will be launched later this year in the United States and will cost US$ 339 (R$ 1,800). There is no release date in Brazil.
The Kindle Scribe has a 10.2-inch, 300 ppi (pixel per inch) screen that uses the same technology as its predecessors, eInk, or electronic paper.
According to The Verge, the product’s battery lasts 12 weeks with 30 minutes of reading per day, and three weeks with 30 minutes of writing per day. In other words, the introduction of electronic writing means lower energy performance, one of the biggest attractions of the line.
The announcement was made by the company during the Amazon Devices Launch 2022 event. Other highlights were new versions of Echo devices and a smart alarm.
Halo Rise, in addition to working as an alarm clock, analyzes users’ sleep through movement and breathing sensors. The product even senses the lighting, humidity and temperature of the room to provide data on sleepless nights.
The new Echo Dot and Echo Show devices have received improvements to their sound systems. The Echo Show 15, tested by Sheetwill receive the Fire TV interface and applications, bringing the smart display closer to a tablet.
